An activity was conducted by 'HEALTH AND WELLNESS' club for
classes VI to VIII to make them aware about healthy food habits. This activity was designed in a unique manner
to enhance listening skills of children. Children were to understand the question
with closed eyes and point response to appropriate corner in the room. Response
options A, B, C, D were designated in 4 corners of the room. This was a fun-
filled learning.
Mount Abu School has been successfully registered as lead school under Eat Right Creativity Challenge under Eat Right Movement initiated by FSSAI and Safe and Nutritious Food(SNF) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Govt of India. Taking this initiative to larger scale the school has launched its Eat Right Club under it's health and wellness club on 17th November 2018, wherein various activities related to Good and healthy food are conducted to promote good health.

DETECTION OF ADULTERATION CINNAMON V/S TREE BARK
An activity was conducted by 'HEALTH
AND WELLNESS' club for classes VI to VIII to make them aware about adulteration
in food products. The session explained students to detect contamination in
cinnamon with normal tree bark . The various aspects through which we can
conclude that cinnamon is mixed with bark through strong odour and curvilinear
pieces of bark.
DETECTION OF ADULTERATION IODISED V/S COMMON SALT
An activity was
conducted by 'HEALTH AND WELLNESS' club for classes VI to VIII to make them
aware about adulteration in salt. The session explained students to distinguish
between iodized salt and common
(Non-iodized) salt. A small experiment was executed to detect this.
Students took 2 slices of potato and put different salt on each of them. After
1 min - 2 drops of lemon juice was added
on the potato slice. The change in colour was spotted. Iodised salt turns in blue
colour.
